Cookies Policy

1. Introduction
This Cookies Policy explains how Appetite UI uses cookies and similar technologies. The website sets no analytics cookies and no marketing cookies, so it shows no consent bar and asks for no consent.
2. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help us understand how you use our site, remember your preferences, and improve your experience.
3. What we use
Essential cookies
None. The website needs no cookie to load, navigate or show a page.
Analytics cookies
None. Visits are counted with Vercel Web Analytics, which sets no cookie. It tells visits apart with a hash made from the request, and Vercel discards that hash after 24 hours.
Marketing cookies
None. No advertising or tracking pixel runs on the website.
Local storage
“appetite-docs-theme” is a functional session entry. It remembers whether you chose the light or the dark theme with the switch, it is cleared when the tab closes, and without it the website follows your device’s setting. It is never sent to us and is not used for measurement.
“appetite-first-touch” is a measurement entry. On your first visit it keeps where the visit came from (the site or the search engine, and the campaign name when the link carried one), the first page you opened and the date. Web Analytics adds it to the clicks and purchases it counts, so a sale can be credited to where the visit began. When you open the checkout, that source and first page are also passed to Lemon Squeezy with the order, shortened. It holds no name, no email address and no identifier.
“appetite-ai-referral” is a session entry. It remembers that this tab already counted an arrival from an AI assistant. It holds the digit 1, it is cleared when the tab closes, and it is not sent to us.
“appetite-offer-country” is a functional session entry. It keeps the country code the site looked up once, so the plans can show a regional price without asking again. It is cleared when the tab closes.
“appetite-aff” is a session entry for the affiliate program. When you open the website through a partner’s link, which carries ?aff= and the partner’s code, it keeps that code while the tab is open, and the code is added to the checkout link when you press a buy button, so Lemon Squeezy can credit the partner. It holds the partner’s code only, never anything about you, and it is cleared when the tab closes. No affiliate script runs on the website and no cookie is set for it.
4. Storage duration
There are no cookies to expire. The first touch entry expires after 30 days. The theme, AI landing, country and affiliate entries end when the tab closes.
5. Managing storage
To remove the first touch entry, clear the site data for appetiteui.com in your browser settings. Your next visit then counts as a first visit. Closing the tab removes the theme, AI landing, country and affiliate entries. Refer to your browser’s help section for details.
6. Third-party tools
The third-party tools on the website are:
- Vercel Web Analytics - Visit and page view counts, without cookies
- Lemon Squeezy checkout - Our payment processor. Its script loads only when you point at or press a buy link, and opens the checkout in a window on this page. The opened checkout receives the plan, the shortened first touch described above and, when you came through a partner’s link, the partner’s code. Lemon Squeezy records the referral on its own side under its own policies
The release notes form sends your email address from our server to Loops, which sends those emails. It loads no script from Loops and sets no cookie or storage entry.
Vercel Inc. also hosts the website. Lemon Squeezy’s own policies apply once the checkout is open.
