Tools
Small tools for app designers.
Each tool answers one question app designers ask over and over. There is no sign-up and no script from a third party, and every number names where it was read and when.2 tools, updated Appetite UI is a Figma UI kit for iOS and Android apps, built like a design system. One token source drives Apple and Material components in light and dark mode, and exports to SwiftUI, Jetpack Compose, Flutter and CSS.
The tools
Pick the question.
Two tools today. Each one is a table that works without JavaScript and becomes a picker with it.
| Tool | What you get | Open it |
|---|---|---|
| App Store and Google Play screenshot sizes | The store’s screenshot size in pixels, the Figma frame and the export scale, for iPhone including Duo, iPad and Android. | App Store and Google Play screenshot sizes tool |
| iOS and Android values | The iOS value in points next to the Android value in dp, with pixels, for touch targets, bars, safe areas, corners and type. | iOS and Android values tool |
How the tools are made
Plain pages with sourced numbers.
Said here so a number is never a guess.
Every number has a source and a date.
The row says whether the number comes from Apple or Google, from the Appetite UI file, or from arithmetic, and the day it was read.
No sign-up, no cookies, no third-party scripts.
The tables are plain HTML. The picker is a small script of this site and sends nothing anywhere.
The articles hold the reasoning.
Each tool links the articles that explain where its numbers come from, and those articles link back to the tool.
The tools are the small part.
The kit is the large one: components, screens and tokens for iOS and Android apps.
