iOS and Android values side by side.

Pick a touch target, a bar, a safe area, a corner radius or a type style and read the iOS value in points next to the Android value in dp or sp, with the pixels at 3x.Appetite UI is a Figma UI kit for iOS and Android apps, built like a design system. One token source drives Apple and Material components in light and dark mode, and exports to SwiftUI, Jetpack Compose, Flutter and CSS.

The values

Pick a value.

iOS is in points, Android in dp, or sp for type. The last column turns both into pixels at 3x.

How to read it

From a value to a pixel.

Points and dp are not pixels.

Multiply by the scale. An iPhone at 3x draws 44 points as 132 pixels. Android multiplies dp by the density divided by 160, so 48 dp is 144 pixels at 480 dpi.

Platform numbers and kit numbers differ.

A row marked Platform is Apple’s or Google’s own number. A row marked Appetite UI file is the value the kit draws, which you should confirm in Xcode or Android Studio before handoff.

Type pairs the closest roles.

iOS and Material name their text styles differently and neither publishes a mapping. Each type row says which two roles it sets side by side.

FAQ

Questions about iOS and Android values.

Apple asks for a hit region of at least 44 × 44 points and Android Developers for at least 48 × 48 dp. WCAG 2.2 asks for 24 × 24 CSS pixels at level AA. The 44 and the 48 are the same size within 0.3 mm.

Multiply by the scale. An iPhone at 3x draws 44 points as 132 pixels. Android multiplies dp by the density divided by 160, so 48 dp is 144 pixels at xxhdpi, which is 480 dpi.

No. Body is 17 points on iOS and 16 sp on Android, and the nearest roles differ by a point or two on every step. The rows pair the closest roles, because neither platform publishes a pairing.
