Privacy Policy

1. Introduction
At Appetite UI, your privacy matters. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal data in compliance with GDPR and other applicable laws. By visiting our website or purchasing any product, you agree to the terms below.
2. Data We Collect
We may collect and process the following personal data:
- Name and surname: For identification and purchase records.
- Email address: For updates, order delivery, and optional marketing communication.
We may also collect non-personal data via:
- Visit analytics: Vercel Web Analytics records the page, the referrer, the country, region and city, the browser, the operating system and the device type of a visit. It sets no cookie and keeps no personal identifier. It also counts a click on the buy link and on the Figma preview link, with the page the click came from and the site the visit started on, and it counts each arrival with the site it came from (for example a search engine or an AI assistant) and the page it landed on. It also counts a purchase made in the checkout window, with the plan. A landing from an AI assistant is counted once per browser tab. A paid order is also counted from Lemon Squeezy when the payment succeeds, with the plan, even if the checkout window never reported it back to the page. To credit a sale to where the visit began, your browser keeps the source of your first visit, its campaign name when the link carried one, the first page and the date, for 30 days (see Section 5). It holds no name, no email address and no identifier.
- Local storage (see Section 5): your theme choice on the documentation, and the source of your first visit.
3. Purpose of Data Collection
We process your data for:
- Transactional communication: Order confirmation, access to files.
- Customer support: Responding to inquiries and technical help.
- Marketing (with consent): Updates about new packs or product improvements.
- Analytics: Improving website usability, performance, and content relevance.
4. Data Sharing
We share your data only with trusted third parties:
- Lemon Squeezy: Our payment processor. Handles payments and billing securely, in accordance with global data protection standards. When you open the checkout, we also pass the plan the button sells and the source of your first visit (the same record as Section 5, shortened). Lemon Squeezy stores them on the order. They hold no name and no email address. When you arrived through an affiliate partner’s link (?aff= and a code), the partner’s code goes with them, so Lemon Squeezy can credit and pay that partner.
- Loops: Sends the release notes email. When you subscribe with the form in the footer, at the end of a blog article or on the changelog, our server passes Loops your email address and where you subscribed (footer, article or changelog), and Loops records when you did. Nothing else goes with it: no name, no page history and no identifier. We use the address only to send release notes when a new version ships and, until Appetite UI Code launches, a discount code for subscribers at that launch. The legal basis is your consent. Every email has an unsubscribe link; you can also email us at hi@appetiteui.com to be removed. The address stays on the list until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it.
- Vercel: Hosts this website and runs Vercel Web Analytics, which counts visits without cookies and without personal identifiers.
We never sell or rent your data. Data may be shared with authorities only where required by law.
5. Cookies
This website sets no analytics cookies and no marketing cookies:
- Necessary cookies: None are needed, so none are set.
- Analytics: Vercel Web Analytics counts visits without cookies.
- Marketing cookies: None.
- Local storage: One functional entry remembers your light or dark theme on the documentation and on blog articles. It stays in your browser and is never sent to us. A second entry keeps the source of your first visit for 30 days and is added to the clicks and purchases that Vercel Web Analytics counts. When you open the checkout, that source and first page are also passed to Lemon Squeezy with the order. A session entry, appetite-ai-referral, remembers that this tab already counted an arrival from an AI assistant. It holds the digit 1, it is cleared when the tab closes, and it is not sent to us. Two more session entries keep the country looked up for regional prices and, when you came through a partner’s link, the partner’s affiliate code; both are cleared when the tab closes.
The website has no consent bar. The Cookies Policy has the details.
6. Data Retention
We keep your personal data only as long as necessary, typically for 1 year from purchase. Some data may be stored longer if required by tax or legal obligations. A release notes subscription is kept until you unsubscribe (see Section 4).
7. Your Rights
Under GDPR, you have the right to:
- Access: Know what personal data we hold.
- Correct: Fix any incorrect or outdated data.
- Erase: Ask us to delete your data.
- Object or restrict: Limit processing in certain cases.
To exercise your rights, email us at hi@appetiteui.com.
8. Data Security
We apply technical and organizational measures to protect your data. While no method is 100% secure, we follow industry standards to prevent unauthorized access, alteration, or misuse.
9. Updates to This Policy
We may revise this Privacy Policy over time. If the changes are significant, we will notify you via the website or email.
